1.Metal Saddle Ring Introduction

Metal saddle ring is a new type of high efficiency random packing developed in the 1990s. It is used mainly in new packing tower. The towers can be 35% lower in height, or 30% smaller in diameter than previous towers. In other words, the metal saddle ring increased 10-30% in efficiency, and reduced 20-60% in pressure drop. In China, the experimental study of dry distillation, rather than wet distillation, shows that the investment can be reduced by 20%. Generally speaking, the adoption of metal saddle ring can increase the production, low energy consumption and cost, and improve the separation efficiency.

The following five sizes are available in 304 SS for data reference– 25mm (1”), 40mm (1 1/2”), 50mm (2”), 60mm (2 3/8”) and 70mm (2 3/4”).

4.Metal Saddle Ring Packing Applications:

Metal saddle ring packed bed has a large void fraction, and most of the packing is circular liquid channel, which reduces the resistance of gas passing through the bed, also reduces the radial diffusion coefficient of liquid flowing downward.

Metal saddle ring is widely applied in drying tower, absorption tower, cooling tower, washing tower, wet scrubber tower, Regeneration tower, etc. Covering the industries like Chemical, Metallurgical, Gas and Environmental Protection.
